Gillyflower or “stock” makes a great addition to your wedding floral list. Budget friendly and charming, this vintage bloom is available in an array of colors year round. With it’s distinctive spicy-sweet fragrance and ruffled blooms, Gillyflower remains one of the original “romantic flowers for lovers”
Beauty and the Beast Wedding Treasure
What fun I have had collecting these antique treasures for my upcoming beauty and the beast themed wedding! This brides floral dreams will come to life with fresh red roses and special details, including of course a single red rose inside a glass dome!
Flowers are such a beautiful part of your wedding, it would be a shame for them to be tossed out when they still have time to be appreciated! Take a look at these 3 creative ways to repurpose your wedding blooms after the “I do’s!” 1. Donate to the closest Nursing Home, Assisted Living or Senior Center. Most centers accept wedding flowers that they present in a common area for their senior residents to enjoy. What better way to spread the joy of your wedding day than to put smiles on the faces of the elderly. Make sure to contact the facility before hand, some senior facilities even pick up the florals from your venue. 2. Create something new. Petals can be used ways such as embedded them into candles or jewelry so you can hold on to them for years to come. 3. Give them to guests as favors. Many guests are happy to take home arrangements to admire in their own home! Have a friend or family member spread the word that guests are welcome to them after the wedding is over.
Rose Alert!
Rose Alert! Two new luscious garden rose varieties, Buttercup and Mid-Summer Garden are now available and oh so pretty. Their romantic tones and full fluffy petals make for a gorgeous summer bouquet. I love new product!
Moody Flower Hues for Events
Current palette trends are among some of my favorite color combinations. Moody flower hues such as dusty rose, latte, apricot, champagne, buttercream and milky moonstone can help create a subdued romantic vibe. Remember to take into consideration the month of your event to get the most beautiful blooms of the season. Flowers can also be accented with ribbons and other unique accesories.
